When Art is as Thick as Blood: Featuring Bro's Paintings

Time flew fast enough for me to realise I'm not getting any younger. And that the good ol' banter and little mischief with siblings will now be kept behind my memory chest as they have grown into something more essential in life. Having said that, I'm writing this special feature simply to express a sister's pride. My youngest brother, JP, is now all grown up and unveiling his passion for Art. Hence, I am sharing here some of his paintings which were displayed at the recent art exhibit titled "Expressions: A Heritage Contribution of the Millennials" held on March 17, 2017 in my beloved province, Iloilo, Philippines....

Cat & Box: The box outside the cat

I mentioned in one of my quirks the story behind my love for comic strips, and thought it tragic that I went to a rather lengthy hiatus after ending my migrant-themed comic series on a local newspaper in Kuwait. For quite some time I focused on creative writing, though it was not a bad idea either, but I was left with a longing for character design, fables, and such. So, to make the story short, I embarked on a project closest to my heart and interest in cats.  It's not that difficult to pitch the whole idea as I've earlier written a poem similar to what I'd expect a conversation would...
